Voluntary Substance Phase-Out Program

Going beyond regulatory requirements to ensure product safety and sustainability.

As part of its commitment to continuous improvement, allnex operates a global voluntary substance phase-out program to address selected substances of concern within its existing product portfolio.

Substances identified through our prioritisation process may be selected for phase-out based on their hazard profile, regulatory trajectory, and the availability of safer alternatives. This program goes beyond regulatory requirements and reflects allnex’ proactive approach to product safety and sustainability.

How the Phase-Out Program Works

Substances considered for phase-out are reviewed through an internal decision-making process that involves subject-matter experts and management oversight. Once a phase-out decision is made, implementation is led by allnex’ R&D and Technical teams, who work to reformulate products, substitute with safer alternatives, or transition portfolios as appropriate.

Phase-outs are managed globally and implemented in a structured and responsible manner to ensure product performance, customer needs, and safety requirements are maintained everywhere.

A Dynamic and Ongoing Process

The voluntary substance phase-out program is dynamic. Progress is continuously reviewed as substances are eliminated from the portfolio and as new scientific or regulatory information becomes available. As a result, priorities may evolve over time.
