Why use low formaldehyde & formaldehyde-free resins?

In the last decade, formaldehyde has been officially classified as a hazardous material to health and environment. Thus, formaldehyde-free resins and other compounds have been on the rise for safer work environments and products. If you want – or need – to switch to low formaldehyde or even formaldehyde-free resins, our experts will help you to find equally powerful alternatives with less or no formaldehyde content.

While formaldehyde-free resins do not contain any formaldehyde, low formaldehyde resins typically contain less than 0.5%. Beyond that, ultra-low formaldehyde resins contain but traces of the hazardous compound with less than 0.1% allowing formulators to avoid labeling issues.
