A sustainable portfolio for customers and society
In 2019, allnex began developing a more structured and robust Portfolio Sustainability Assesment (PSA) process. This process aims to categorize our products by evaluating their sustainability benefits and challenges using a fact-based methodology.
Our PSA methodology, named ECOWISE™, is a fact-based, systematic stage gate process based on the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) Portfolio Sustainability Assessment framework. This methodology includes the latest objective data on chemicals of concern, market comparison in our five high-priority sustainability areas and adherence to industry standards and ecolabel requirements.
ECOWISE™ enables the business to respond to sustainability market signals and develop timely, improved solutions
The five sustainability pillars
Additionally, ECOWISE™ serves as a quality label for allnex products that meet our stringent PSA screening criteria, signifying their specific sustainability benefits across our five high-priority areas, referred to as our five pillars of sustainability.
ECOWISE™ Targets
By 2030, we aim to generate 50% of our outbound contribution margin from more sustainable products. On our journey to this goal, we set an interim target of 32.5% by 2024. In the coming years, our commercial teams will intensify their efforts to promote and expand sales of ECOWISE™ products.”
