Pioneering Sustainable Automotive Coatings in Asia
The allnex Biomass Balance SCA Series has been honored in Shanghai, China for its groundbreaking contribution to sustainable automotive coatings.
- By utilizing biomass-balanced feedstocks, this innovative series enables manufacturers to significantly reduce fossil resource consumption and CO₂ emissions—without compromising on quality.
- It’s a seamless “drop-in” solution. It offers the same performance as traditional fossil-based resins, allowing customers to integrate it into existing formulations—from basecoats to clearcoats and across 1K and 2K systems—without changing processes or requiring new qualifications.

Revolutionizing Food Safety in Packaging Coatings
Our Drogenbos R&D center in Belgium has strengthened its legacy of UV technology leadership with a groundbreaking innovation for food-contact applications -earning a nomination for the prestigious essenscia Innovation Award. allnex’s smart molecule ushers in a new generation of food packaging – essenscia
- Traditional UV-curable coatings for packaging risked migration of small molecules into food.
- allnex engineered a smart resin molecule with the photoinitiator function chemically anchored within it. This eliminates migration risk while maintaining the speed and efficiency of UV curing.
- It enables the production of durable, solvent-free coatings that meet stringent food safety standards, paving the way for safer packaging.
National Recognition for Circular Solutions in Composites
Gold Medal at the 2025 SPASA Awards of Excellence (Australia)
allnex’s Polyplex® 200E rPET Unsaturated Polyester Resin was awarded the Gold Medal in the Sustainable Product Award category, reinforcing allnex’s reputation as a leader in sustainable innovation within the composites industry.
- This structural resin incorporates recycled PET (rPET) from post-consumer plastic bottles, diverting waste from landfills.
- On average, a swimming pool built with Polyplex® 200E repurposes 1,500 to 2,200 recycled bottles, demonstrating a clear path to closing the plastic loop.

AkzoNobel’s North Asia “2025 Best Supplier Award
#allnex has been recognized as a Sustainability Leader, ranking 5th in AkzoNobel’s North Asia “2025 Best Supplier Award.” The award was presented at AkzoNobel’s North Asia Supplier Conference.
