Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Annual Report 2026.
The allnex annual ESG report offers a comprehensive look at what we have accomplished, where we have faced challenges, and how we are evolving our efforts around sustainability, social responsibility, and governance. It is a snapshot of our impact and a roadmap for the work ahead.
Key Highlights
Environment
We have made further strides on climate action. Scope 1&2 emissions are now 23% below our 2018 baseline, supported by more than 60 energy efficiency projects completed across our sites in 2025, delivering 17,000 MWh of savings and a corresponding reduction of 3,500 tCO2e (page 16). The share of electricity purchased from renewable sources has risen from 42% in 2021 to 51% in 2025, on the way to at least 85% by 2030 (page 17). The transition to a more Sustainable product portfolio is clear from the ECOWISE progress (page 19), where 40.2% of sales came from ECOWISE-rated products against an interim target of 36%. This supports the decarbonization of the entire value chain and our Scope 3.1 reduction target.

Innovation
Innovation remains a driving force behind our sustainability goals. Our standardized innovation process embeds ECOWISE assessments at critical milestones, with our global R&D teams evaluating projects across five key areas: safer chemicals, circular economy, renewable sourcing, energy efficiency and emissions reduction (page 8). Recent examples include Duroxyn EF 2410, with a certified biobased carbon content of 27%, and a world first in ISCC PLUS certified rPET-based solvent-borne alkyds and polyesters that turn waste into worth (pages 9 to 11).

Social responsibility
In line with our social responsibility values, 35 global locations are now certified to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, there were zero serious process safety incidents, and we achieved a Total Recordable Incident Rate of 0.43 against a target of 0.5 for 2025 (page 26). All employees earn a certified fair living wage, and in 2025 allnex obtained the UNI/PdR 125:2022 gender equality certification in Italy. We have continued to strengthen diversity and inclusion (page 27), talent development (page 28) and community and employee engagement (page 30) to ensure that our people are supported, respected, and empowered.
