allnex and TfS partners in sustainability

allnex & TfS

At the end of 2022, allnex proudly joined the chemical industry’s collaborative movement Together for Sustainability (TfS). This member-driven initiative is a collective force shaping the future of sustainable practices in our industry.

TfS members benefit from efficiencies in sustainable procurement and towards their own CSR goals. Each TfS member is committed to building sustainable chemical supply chains, regulatory requirements, and responding to the needs and expectations of society.

A key focus of TfS is to develop and implement a global supplier engagement process that helps assess and improve sustainability practices within the supply chains of chemical companies. Through the TfS Academy, we provide training to our suppliers on sustainability topics.

Our TfS membership is a source of inspiration and stimulation for speeding up our sustainability actions. We learn a lot from the exchange and cooperation with the other member companies.

TfS recently launched its Scope 3 GHG Programme to address the chemical industry’s role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The program aims to harmonize emissions monitoring, management, and reduction across the chemical supply chain. TfS and its member companies are developing a standardized process for data collection and emission calculation, referred to as the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) Calculation Guideline.

In Q4 2023, a PCF data sharing platform initiative named “SIGreen” was launched. allnex is heavily involved in the “SIGreen” pilot testing phase.

Together for Sustainability annual workshop

allnex’s Sustainability Director Davy De Clercq and Sustainable Procurement Manager Christina Tüylüoglu-Cabello recently participated in the Together for Sustainability (TfS) Annual Workshop held in Ghent, Belgium.

The two days workshop provided an invaluable platform for discussing challenges and creative brainstorming sessions of key focus areas that are shaping the future of a sustainable supply chain. Key focus areas of the discussions were the roll-out of the new TfS Strategy Accelerate4Impact, PCF Exchange solution, updates on TfS Audits and TfS Assessments, and deeper supplier engagement through the TfS Academy.

We are looking forward to further partnerships within the TfS community, reaffirming our commitment to sustainability, innovation, and responsible chemical industry.
